We're seeing a very good grade of salmon this year in the Sacramento River!  Quantity hasn't been the story so much as the quality since July 16th.  We've been surprised to see this many big salmon in the Sac this year already and they just keep coming.  I'd trade any one of these big Kings for a few smaller salmon...

The past few days have definitely seen an increase in both boats and King salmon.  Today wasn't red hot, but it was good to see nets coming up in a few holes we fished today.  More than just a few boats hooked fish which was good to see.  Ironically, I may have only seen a few salmon roll all day...

Captains Thompson, Turner, and Brady turned in some nice pics today from their trips on the Sacramento River.  It would appear a new batch of fish arrived in the section of river we were fishing today and there were some tanks in the mix for sure.  We're hoping to see a flood of new fish this week to start off...

Shasta Lake has been one tough nut to crack this year.  I spend a lot of days on Shasta Lake and most always feel like I have the pulse of the lake pretty much figured out.  I know where and when to go to certain parts of the lake to find trout and salmon to catch pretty much year round....
