Captain Jeff Brady fished the Sacramento River today and said there are quite a few salmon in the system.  His clients today hooked three Kings and landed one.  The Sacramento River below Balls Ferry hosts the Coleman National Fish Hatchery and most all of our early late fall run salmon are headed for the hatchery.  We get a chance to fish...

Quality over quantity is an age old phrase and it absolutely applies to late fall King salmon on the Sacramento River.  We've hooked late fall Kings the past few days and had some takedowns that didn't stick as well.  Thats a good indicator that the late fall salmon have started to stage below Battle Creek and Coleman National Fish Hatchery....

Today Captain Justin Thompson ran a float trip on the Trinity River targeting steelhead.  Todays drift did nt hold a lot of steelhead, but they managed to get into several half pounders and a nice adult specimen.  We may be getting some rain after Thanksgiving and that will really help the steelhead fishing on the Trinity.  Justin has some available...

Shasta Lake

Today we fished Shasta Lake again and we had a really slow start.  The water was flat and the trout were weary of the boat and gear for sure.  We got a bit of wind later in the day and that helped with the bite.  Still a lot of work put in today but we landed 9 nice fish total...

Shasta Lake

Today we fished Shasta Lake and got into a pretty good bite early in the am.  Our best tackle was a Trinidad Tackle 6" dodger and a variety of spoons including the Popped Eye spoon.  We flatlined all our gear and ended the day with 7 nice rainbows and two bass.  Not red hot, but worth the trip for sure! ...
