Its the 4th of July weekend on Shasta Lake and boy is it busy!  Early morning is ok for fishing, but by early afternoon its a mad house unless your on the lake for things other than fishing.  Fortunately we have the weekend off and wont have to contend with the crowds this weekend.  The fishing was lackluster at best...

Same story different day.  Shasta Lake is producing some good King salmon fishing.  Lots of numbers, but most are on the small side with a few jumbos mixed in.  I'm on a roll so i'll keep targeting King salmon until the trout bite picks up again. Captain Jeff G.
