Shasta Lake has been fishing very well even though we're seeing a steady rise so far this winter.  We've seen a lot of rainfall but not too much which has made for what I consider to be perfect conditions.  48-50 degree water can be found in most areas of the lake right now, water clarity conditions are 2' or better...

Shasta Lake continues to see the benefits of the abover average water year we are experiencing right now here in the Redding area.  The lakes lowest level this year was around 188' feet below full pool.  Currently the lake is rising and is sitting at about 162' feet below full pool.  Thats an increase of 26' feet since we started...
