Kokanee action remains strong at Whiskeytown. Yesterday, we started fishing about 8am which is a couple late but it did not matter the Kokanee were hungry. Shasta Lake is the place to be for big hungry Trout. Saturday we caught over 20 fish the biggest going 8 pounds, the average fish have been weighing between 3 and 4 pounds. Trolling Sep's Dodgers and spoons lathered in Pro-Cure bloody tuna at 100ft has been the ticket to hooking up. These are fat and put up a great fight....

Big Rainbow Trout are on the bite at Shasta Lake. These fat football's are gorging themselves on the shad, so find the shad and you will find the Trout.
