Great Lower Sac Trout Fishing!

The Sacramento River in Redding, Ca. is now open all the way up to Keswick Dam. Some of the best fishing is in the upper section of the Lower Sac and this season has been no exception. We're catching great numbers of wild trout and they are running hot as usual. Fishing with ultra light spin gear compares to fishing for the coastal steelhead that are known for their hard fighting abilities. There isnt much quit in the Sac trout this time of the year resulting in lots of ariel jumps and line peeling runs away from the boat. If thats not enough fun, we have been plug fishing as well and the take downs have been absolutely savage! This trout fishery is year round but summer, fall, and winter are my favorite times of the year to fish. The holy water closes again in April, but we're usually fishing for Striped bass in the spring so it doesn't have much of an impact on the good trips we have to offer for trout. We have more availability than norma due to the river salmon closures in California so we're taking advantage of the great trout fishing instead. Call or text Jaynie at 530-510-2925 for more information and available dates. Thank you!
