Shasta Lake looks great at full pool and the trout fishing is headed that way as well.  The trollers are getting bites near the surface 15'- 25' deep.  Water surface temps are sitting at around 72 degrees and have been raising slowly.  Most of the fish being caught by trollers have been rainbow and brown trout but some isolated reports are indicating that the Kokanee bite is coming on.  Look for the kings to start showing up soon as well.  Summertime is the best time to fish Shasta for trout and landlocked salmon.  The fishing in May was pretty good and I expect June thru September to be much better as it turns toward the summer fishing patterns, especially when the Shad begin to show in the lower lake.  Stay tuned for more reports all summer long!  Book your summer fishing trip on Shasta Lake at (530) 510-2925.  Thank you!
