Sac Striper season still going strong!

The Sacramento River is running high and a bit dirty but the fishing has been great! We've been working the areas of the river with the lowest flows and thats where we're finding our fish daily now. Unless we see a dramatic decrease in flows, I don't expect anything will really change. There are a lot of Stripers in the system currently and if we see the colder air temps forecasted for next week we may get a repreive from the spawn off we are expecting when the water gets a light bit warmer. The Stripers we've been catching all season thus far have been new arrivals and not very many of the males were very ripe, meaning they aren't quite ready to spawn yet. That can change quickly with warmer water temps which I'm sure we'll see within the next two weeks. Either way, we're expecting continued great fishing through May this year. We still have some available dates in May, but not many. To get in on some of this great fishing give Jaynie a call at (530) 510-2925 for more information on our available trips options and open dates. Thank you!
