Not a lot has changed from my last report but we are continuing to catch a few King salmon every day above Red Bluff. The bite remains tough but there are salmon in the holes on our stretch of the Sacramento River. This could be a September to remember when the bulk of our Kings finally arrive. Right now we're taking every day for what it is and working hard for our bites hoping to get a few in the box for our clients. Sounds like releases are going to 4,000 cfs this month and although thats not welcomed news, we'll make the best of it. Our river water temps are looking good so far and I was told Shasta Lake temps have started to drop a bit this past week so it looks like we've turned the corner on summer and will be headed towards fall soon. If we see some cool nighttime temps through September and October we should have a good bite throughout our fall season. Time will tell! We do have a few fall salmon fishing dates open right now. Call Jaynie at (530) 510-2925 for more information and available dates. Thank you!
