Fish & Trail Report 6-13-22
Busy Busy Busy...
We're up to 4 pontoon boats and 6 motorboats now. The water is coming up so fast we're having to make dock adjustments daily, if not twice a day. Don't get us wrong, we're not complaining, we're happy to see that water continue to rise. Hoping to get more boats out as time allows.
DFW continues to stock fish as they arrived late last week with their 4th load of fish since opener. Fishing for shore anglers has been pretty steady from the dam area or for those hiking the trail to the south end of the lake. Boaters have a major advantage are most are limiting out early in the day.
We keep trying to nail down a pattern for what the fish want but the reality is that bait, lures, flies and jigs are all working. Pick your trick.
Great reports again this week from Intake 2, although spot did seem to matter. Look for areas with access to deeper water.
More boots are hitting the trail and access is pretty much open all over the canyon now. We even had reports from the Big Pine drainage and all the way up to lake 7 there isn't much snow in the way and the lakes are thawed. The Tyees are open, Bishop Pass is passable albeit mushy. THE SKEETERS ARE OUT IN FORCE IN THE BACKCOUNTRY. Don't say we didn't warn you.
Current Schedule
Sabrina Store & Boat Rentals Open Daily
7am – 6pm June 16th to Labor Day
8am – 6pm Labor Day to October
Currently operating on a first come, first served bases.
Boat reservations can be made online at www.LakeSabrinaBoatLanding.com for rentals starting June 20th – Labor Day.
The Waterfront Café has pushed back our opening to July!
Don't worry gang, we'll be rockin' and rollin' shortly. We had to temporarily shift all of our resources to getting boats, pontoons and docks out due to high demand and rising water but we'll be back to cafe preparations later this week.
