Shasta Lake is making its pre summer appearance and things are heating up!  Fishing is always pretty good but summer fishing can be hot!  Not just on the water in the summer heat but the fishing action as well!  We caught our biggest Kokanee of the season yesterday that measured in at 17".  Great sign for early season Kokanee fishing.  These Kokanee will continue to grow through fall before they spawn.  Kokanee grow an average of 1" per month in the summer so we will likely see some 20" Kokanee again by fall.  Stay tuned for more Shasta Lake Kokanee salmon fishing reports, we're just getting started!  Thank you!
