Hard to believe 2021 is over today. It has been a fantastic fishing year with a lot of great trips. Thanks to all of you who have come and fished with me this past year. Now let's talk fishing Steelhead on the Klamath this past week.

Mother Winter really showed up and gave us a true White Christmas and brought out the hearty Winter Steelhead fisherman. The snow made driving to the river a little more exciting but once the sun came up the winter scenery is unmatched.

Steelhead fishing continues to be a fantastic time on the river. The colder water and weather did not hinder the bite. The fishing action was another excellent week in the books. We landed many fish in the 16 to 26 inch class and weighing between 1 an 8 pounds. The common fish landed has been 18 to 22 inches and weighing between 2.5 to 5 pounds. These hard fighting fish are a blast to catch an release.

I have mostly been fishing flies under the indicator but have mixed in back trolling and side casting maglips an rapalas lathered with Pro-Cure Carpspit. Check out the VIDEO 1 and you will see. VIDEO 2

I am booking trips in January, February and March for Winter Steelheading on the Klamath as well as fantastic Trout action on LakeSiskiyou. I have a few other lake options so, GIVE ME A CALL 530 905 0758 OR BOOK ONLINE AT CALDWELLFISHING.COM
