We've had the chance to fish Shasta Lake several times this past week and are happy to report that the trout fishing is really good!  Water conditions are great right now and thats not going to change in the next few weeks when we're hoping to see some more rain in our area.  We're seeing more rainbows than browns right now, but that will change as we get closer to spring.  For now, fishing the top 10' of the lake trolling small spoons will get lots of attention from surface feeding trout.  Water conditions are best around the dam.  For the trophy brown trout anglers who wish to fish Shasta Lake with me, I recommend booking anytime between late February and the month of March.  Those timeframes will book up completely so I would recommend calling Jaynie sooner than later to get your date reserved.  (530) 510-2925, thank you!
