Sac salmon loading the upper river!

We've been fishing the Sacramento River almost every day since the Sacramento River opened on July 16th. The river is now open from its mouth all the way to the cut off line at the Deschutes Rd. bridge in Anderson, ca. Not only are we hooking King salmon daily, we're seeing lots of salmon moving through the Red Bluff area and have been pushing up river towards Anderson and the Barge Hole. We're guessing a conservative number of kings forecasted by fisheries managers last spring was a bit off and we're going to see more salmon in the river than was expected. We'll take it and our optimisim has peaked. We have good flows up here and we have lots of salmon in the river now, with many thousands more on their way. Our September and October fishing should be really good most days. That could also transition into a great late fall run in November and December as well. If you haven't booked your 2021 river salmon fishing trip(s), I would recommend doing so now. We have some availability, but here are lot's of great salmon fishing guides up here, so one way or another, you should be able to get out on a guided salmon fishing trip this year. It's gonna be a good year NOT to miss out on!
