Really solid fishing on Shasta Lake right now!

Shasta Lake is fishing as good as it gets right now. Take away lost fish and we're still getting 15 plus trout and salmon most days. The Kokanee bite has been really good, but light gear is recommended for the most success when trying to land them in the net. We hit a few nice browns this week and we've really seen a big improvement in the number of available rainbows in the lower lake. Most fish are still being caught in the 45-65' range, with more and more King bites coming from 80+ feet. This lake is really taking off and should be very good in August and Spetember. The lake is down 130' feet, but there's a lot of water to get around in and the fishing hasn't been affected in any way. We are your best source of information relating to water conditions here in the Redding area, we're on the water up here nearly every day. Anyone who wants the real story on water and fishing conditions should contact us directly for the most accurate day to day information on Shasta Lake. Thank you!
