Its steelhead season on the Trinity River here in Northern California! Its been a pretty good season already this year and when we have periods of rain, its been great! Several trips have resulted in over 10 steelhead hooked during the day on the river and one day last week yielded 13 steelhead for the two anglers fishing with us. These are really good steelhead numbers on any river system in California anymore, but I'm here to tell you, steelhead fishing up here is legit. The Trinity River steelhead aren't normally as big on average as their coastal cousins, but they tend to be much larger than the Sacramento River steelhead. The Trinity River steelhead trips are a great compromise between really big numbers of steelhead on the Sac and a few coastal fish on a good day that will most often times be a bit larger than most Trinity River steelhead. Either way, the Trinity River is as solid an option as it gets for winter steelhead. We have a few dates in February and several dates, including some weekends in March. Call Jaynie at (530) 510-2925 to book your Trinity River steelhead fishing trip! Thank you!
