The Trinity River saw a slight rise on the 26th, but it wasn't much to speak of.  A little rain was better than none for sure, but its looking like we have more rain on the way by mid week.  Captain Justin Thompson fished clients today in the Junction City area and flows were sitting around 415 cfs.  Todays clients went 2 landed steelhead for 3 hooked making for a slow, but memorable day on a beautiful river.  The lower Trinity did see flows reach 725 cfs so we're expecting  some of the fish that were holding below the Burnt Ranch area to be making their way up river now.  Add several days of moderate rainfall and we should see the catch numbers improve in January.  Stay tuned for more Trinity River steelhead fishing reports after the New Year!
