Fantastic fishing with Al the past 2 days on the Klamath, the weather and scenery was postcard worthy, plus the biggest hen of the winter came to play!

It was another great fishing adventure with my client  and friend Al. Over the past 2 days he caught an released over 20 fish each day. The majority of the fish were caught while slowly back trolling 3.0 maglips. We fished other methods such as side casting rapalas (which worked well), swinging flies (caught a couple), and back trolling bait (not much action) but the maglip was King.

These fat hard fighting Steelhead an Trout put amazing battles, with making that clicker drag sing on the take down. That has to be one of best sound and moments in fishing " The takedown ". Slowing backing those plugs down the river the rod in hand or in the holder. Waiting for that moment when the strike occurs the rod doubles over and that drag with the clicker begin to sing FISH On !! There is not a better way to break the piece an quiet river silence.

The piece an quiet was amazing as well. We did not see another boat. What we did see was beautiful wildlife and crisp blue skies. Eagle, Elk, Bucks, and other gave us opportunities for a few pictures. Many of of moments ya just had to be there.

Check out the pictures and enjoy.. Christmas and New Years are just around the corner if you are looking for that unique gift I have fishing g trip gift certificates that make perfect stocking stuffers.
