Sacramento River salmon run continues!

The weekend boat traffic on the Sacramento River below Red Bluff was rediculous. That section of the Sacramento River just can't handle that kind of pressure without really killing a bite. Numerous boats in holes big enough for just a few will push the salmon out of the holes and send them into the nooks and crannies seeking cover. As a result few salmon were caught on Sunday. Todays boat traffic was a lot lighter and Captain Justin Thompson was able to get a nice King salmon in the box for todays clients. Its still super early in the season so we'll have good days and some not so bountiful. Thats the way it goes this time of the year. I will say though that Captain Justin has been able to get salmon landed on every trip so far this season, with the exception of Sunday. We'll be fishing King salmon every day this season and will have lots of great information to put out in our reports. Thank you!
