Captain Justin Thompson checked in today and reports some pretty good catch and release trout fishing on the Sacramento River in Redding.  Flows are steady at 8,000 cfs but look to be bumping up to 9,000 on Thursday.  With the Redding heat this week, spending a day on the river is a great option.  We normally see temps hover around 10 degrees below temps elsewhere and away from the cool river flows.  Todays client came to fish with us with a goal of getting his son exposed to some great fishing.  They had a great time and our young guest today did a great job catching numerous rainbow trout without ant assistance.  Most of the day was spend drifting egg presentations, but recently the trout have been biting fly patterns as well.  Look for fishing to improve this week with an increase in flows.  Come on out, the fishing will be great!  Thank you!
