Today marked the mid way point of the Memorial Day weekend on Shasta Lake. Its the busiest I've seen it in recent memory and was glad to see so many people enjoying this amazing body of water. Morning traffic was pretty light on the lake except for some fishing boats trolling or trout and casting along the shorelines for bass. Saturday we found a really good bite in the morning, but the weekend traffic tamed the bite down a bit and Sunday was good but not great. Some great fish were caught today, but no real big ones were reported by my sources. Tomorrow should see a slight downturn and by Tuesday, there should be lots of parking spots and quiet time on the lake. Fishing will continue to build up into June and really take off from there. Thank you!
