Shasta Lake is fishing really good and we're seeing plenty of big fish in our daily mix.  Trolling spoons at 20-50' is picking up some great fish and we're seeing limits on the good bite days.  Even the tough days are now producing lots of bites making for some faster action fishing than we saw in much of April.  Its May, but the lake is fishing like its already June.  Thats great!  The trout are keying in on Shad and so are the King salmon.  As we see more and more Shad down in the main body of the lake, we're going to see the summer feeding frenzy continue to emerge.  Its time to book your Shasta Lake fishing trip!

If you want a shot at a trophy rainbow or brown trout on Shasta this year, and we'll catch lots of them, I would encourage you to book your group sooner than later.  Our river salmon forecasts are really good this year and we'll be in high demand during the Sacramento River King salmon season. The Sacramento River really starts to get good by mid August and I think by then we'll have very limited dates available.  I can commit to fishing Shasta through August, but by Sepetmber all our guides will be fishing for river Kings.  Thank you!
