Today we had Captain Justin, Captain Jeff Brday, and myself working a three boat party on the Sacramento River below Balls Ferry. We targeted salmon early, but experienced a really slow bite in the Barge Hole. Justin and I switched over to steelhead fishing and our clients caught some nice hatchery fish for the fish box. Captain Brady kept targeting salmon, but by days end had managed to get a single King to the net after losing a few early on dragging bait. Our fall salmon have pretty much called it quits so we're waiting on some fresh late fall Kings which should show up in a week or two if they maintain last seasons schedule. We'll be working the Sac through the December 16th closure of the King salmon season and will be reporting on the late fall bite as soon as they show. In the meantime expect to see reports and some pics of some of our steelhead our clients are catching! Thank you!
