We had three boats on the Sacramento River today fishing for King salmon.  Captains Justin and Kenny did well and their clients scored limits to near limits while my boat got blanked.  I give countless hours of my life to fishing every salmon season and some days it seemingly gives nothing back.  Today was one of those days for me.  I'm off tomorrow and will lick the wounds to my fishermans ego and will be ready for my trips next week.  We'll see how the next 3-5 days pan out, but if we dont see any major improvements to the salmon numbers down in the Woodson Bridge area by then, I'll finish out my season up in the Anderson/Balls Ferry area.  We've made it past the September full moon and should be seeing a lot of salmon in the Corning stretch of the river.  Thats just not been the case except for a few days here and there for me.  Plug fishing is generally tough around the full moon for a few days, so fishing bait seems to be the best option for this weekend especially.
