MyOutdoorBuddy.com (MOB) will be exhibiting this weekend at the 19th Annual KDRV Jackson County Sportsman’s & Outdoor Recreation Show (An ExpoSure Production) in Medford, Oregon. The show runs February 22-24 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

Last weekend, MOB exhibited in Roseburg. Thad Vinson and Jason Webb from Steelhead Slammer Lure Company represented MOB, Sport Fishing Reports, NorCal Fish Reports and Oregon Fish Reports. They raffled off some amazing new lures that are getting fantastic results. Myself and tournament partner, Logan Miles will be working the booth this weekend to answer any questions about our network of outdoor news websites.

We have already attended ISE in Sacramento and, more recently, the Eugene ExpoSure show February 1-3. The highlights of that show included hosting local outdoor writer and wild turkey guru, Troy Rodakowski (troyoutdoors.com) and connecting with professional outfitters, Tyler Caskey and Brent Bauer, who operate an experience-of-a-lifetime king salmon sport fishing operation 60 miles up the Nushagak River, Alaska. The videos from King Salmon Camp (kingsalmoncamp.com) were amazing and I’ll be visiting soon.

MOB also got a visit in Eugene from a young hunter, Travis Humphrey, who took a beautiful, typical four-point mule deer during a Lake County youth hunt last fall. He entered his buck in the Head and Horns Competition and it will end up scoring very high in the book. Travis hunted with a .270 and 150 grain bullets. He and his dad, a chapter rep for Ducks Unlimited shared the exciting story and had us all smiling.

I also met former MMA champ, Tim Sylvia who has his own outdoor TV program. I asked the big fella about the “trouble” he had getting there, meaning flight delays, etc., from the polar vortex region. The MC had made an announcement about it. He looked at me sternly and said, “I got no trouble.” I gulped and said, “No, I don’t imagine you do.” He grew up in Maine, but has hunted his entire life and found time for it during his fighting career.

Come say hello!
