10/6,7,8/18 - Slamming Salmon on the Klamath River and Steelhead too!
Salmon have been moving up to their spawning grounds in the upper most parts of the river on a daily basis. The bite has been great with steady action in the morning lasting into the afternoon. All my clients over the last 3 days have had double digit Salmon days. Most of the Salmon that we caught and released have been in the 10 to 20 pound class. The daily limit this season is one adult over 22 inch and one under 22 inches.

Now is the time to Book that Steelhead on fly trip. It is shaping up to be another awesome year. With all the Salmon spawning in the river these hard fighting fish are already on the bite, using an indicator with with egg imitations are going to be the best method. Swinging bugs and streamers also work and is always a fun option to mix up the day.

The Steelhead have also been slamming smaller back-trolled plugs and various other hardware an bait, so if the fly rod is not your cup of tea then let's hook up on conventional tackle I have it all dialed in.
