Today we fished Shasta Lake and experienced some pretty good fishing conditions, but with zero wind to help keep a strong morning bite going, we decided to cover lots of water instead. It was just fun fishing so coming in with big numbers really wasnt an issue. Many of the areas we fished produced doubles before moving on to find more fish. The rainbows were found in small pods and I expect if we would have worked over some of those areas for a bit longer we would have caught more fish. We easily caught and released three limits of rainbows today, and even a few bass. All our fish were caught trolling Arctic Fox Trolling Flies and small spoons. The fly pictured has been a big producer so if you are interested in trolling flies to catch trout, visit www.trollingflies.com!
