We received our first double sized load of 1,800 lbs of trout February 14th, including bigger trophy sized trout to start the 2017 Spring trout fishing season. Recent heavy rains have left the lake murky, but we have still seen some nice trout caught despite the low visibility. The upcoming forecast looks promising for clearing weather, so we expect the trout fishing to continue to improve in the next week or so as the visibility improves. It typically takes several weeks after heavy rainfall to begin to see noticable improvement in visibility. We plan on continuing regular trout plants thru March, April & May!

With the murky waters, we also recommend you try your luck at catfishing up by the bridge.  They love to congegate there where the new food comes in with the muddy runoff.

Sorry for the delay in getting this report out, but our wonderful Kathy has been feeling ill.  You can count on getting regular fishing reports again soon.
